Now if a cloud can carry 1000kg of water vapour at 30-deg-C but only 600kg at 20-deg-C, if it has 800kg of water vapour, all is fine in the day. The sun sets, night sets in, temperature drops below 20-deg-C, and the same load becomes too heavy for the cloud to carry. Hence it generally rains more often in late evenings after sunsets

What is Rain ?
Water vapour is carried in the atmosphere in form of clouds. When it becomes too much to bear for the clouds, the excess water vapour drains out of clouds as rain.
Now the capacity of to carry water vapour is dependant upon temperature, and capacity decreases with temperature
